   ABOUT US

   DRAGANA VEBER

Academy degree ceramic painter; class: unique ceramics at Academy
   of Applied Arts, Belgrade.

I began my work as a freelance ceramic artist in 1985, making all kinds
   of  unique vessels and sculptures.
There are so many different techniques in the world of ceramics, I like
to explore and make something new each time I create. I love that
positive surprise every time my work comes out of the oven better
than I imagined. It's a kind of charm only ceramic can bring.

This original faence-painting (glaze) technique is something I didn't learn
at the Academy, but from my mother in law Lucia Veber, who was an
extraordinary ceramic artist. It was a bit difficult to learn, therefore
a challenge for me. I'm using it MY WAY, keeping a Family secret.

The scent of clay was always with me, it's among my first childhood me-
mories, for my city Novi Sad lies by the Danube. I often get my Inspira-
tion remembering stories I've been told, the looks of old houses and
  the nature by the river.
  It's a love for a lifetime.
